The determination of acetonitrile and acrylonitrile in fixed pollution source exhaust gas has been released as a national ecological environment standard, using activated carbon adsorption/solvent desorption gas chromatography method. This method is the current effective standard, which will be implemented from August 1, 2026 and replace the original HJ/T 37-1999.

Key technical points
Sampling method: Use activated carbon adsorption tubes (filled with coconut shell activated carbon, 800 mg for section A and 200 mg for section B) to enrich the target substance.
Sampling conditions:
Organized exhaust gas: Sampling volume of 10 L, heated to ≥ 120 ℃, flow rate of 0.1-1.0 L/min
Unorganized monitoring point air: sampling volume of 30 L, flow rate of 0.1-1.5 L/min
Desorption method: Use a mixture of carbon disulfide and acetone (1:1) for desorption, and quantify using external standard method.
Detection instrument: Gas chromatograph (FID detector), recommended chromatographic column size is 30 m × 0.53 mm × 1.00 μ m, 100% polyethylene glycol stationary phase.
Method performance (organized exhaust gas, sampling 10 L):
Acetonitrile detection limit: 0.3 mg/m ³, Acrylonitrile detection limit: 0.2 mg/m ³
Spiked recovery rates: Acetonitrile 95.1% -102%, Acrylonitrile 92.4% -101%
Relative standard deviation:<13% (inter laboratory)
Precautions
Safety warning: Acetonitrile, acrylonitrile, and desorption solvents (such as carbon disulfide) are all toxic. Operations must be carried out in a fume hood and protective equipment must be worn
Sample preservation:
Acetonitrile: Store at room temperature in the dark for ≤ 3 days; Below 8 ℃, it can be extended to 7 days
Acrylonitrile: stored at room temperature in the dark for ≤ 7 days; More stable below 8 ℃
Quality control:
One laboratory blank and one full program blank need to be analyzed for every 20 samples or batch
The correlation coefficient of the standard curve is ≥ 0.995

固定污染源有组织排放废气采样体积为10 L，解吸液体积为8.00 mL时，乙腈和丙烯腈的方法检出限分别为0.3 mg/m3和0.2 mg/m3，测定下限分别为1.2 mg/m3和0.8 mg/m3；无组织排放监控点空气采样体积为30 L，解吸液体积为8.00 mL时，乙腈和丙烯腈的方法检出限分别为0.09 mg/m3和0.07 mg/m3，测定下限分别为0.36 mg/m3和0.28 mg/m3。
