This section of GBZ/T300 specifies the solvent desorption gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for volatile organic compounds (see Table 1) in workplace air. This section is applicable to the detection of volatile organic compounds (see Table 1) vapor concentration in the air of the workplace.
Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. has demonstrated the feasibility of using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to simultaneously determine 36 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in workplace air. The air sample was collected by activated carbon, desorbed by carbon disulfide, separated by HH-VOC capillary chromatography column, and fluorobenzene was used as the internal standard. The mass spectrometer was selected to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of 36 VOCs in the sample using full scan mode (SCAN) and ion scan mode (SIM). The results showed that the 36 VOCs, except for meta xylene and para xylene, were well separated, and the linear correlation coefficients of the calibration curves for each group were all greater than 0.998. The detection limit of the method was 0.015 μ g/mL~0.187 μ g/mL, and the lowest detection concentration was 0.015mg/m ^ (3)~0.15 mg/m ^ (3) (based on collecting 1.56L air samples); Except for isophorone, the average desorption efficiency is 87.9%~111.8%, and the average relative standard deviation is 0.685%~1.582%. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry has high accuracy, sensitivity, and precision, and is suitable for qualitative and quantitative analysis of 36 VOCs in workplace air.
